Unfortunately, "Saga" has been eyes tested Cataract positive at the age of 14 months, and will never get any puppies, because it's impossible to say with certainty if that cataract is hereditary or not. In the doubt, we prefer to not take any risk...
She has been tested in Germany (Jagdspaniel-Klub) and this test has been confirmed in Belgium by a vet specialised in eyes (Dr Noël). Saga had a new eye tested on February 2003 and, until now, the cataract doesn't seem to evolve.
Malheureusement, "Saga" a été dépistée positive à la cataracte à l'âge de 14 mois, et n'aura donc jamais de chiots, car il est impossible de dire avec certitude si la cataracte dont elle est atteinte est d'origine héréditaire ou non. Dans le doute, on s'abstient ...
