Il y a des week-ends que l’on n’oublie pas !
Assurément celui du 25 et 26 mars 2006 restera gravé dans nos
mémoires.
En effet, lorsque l’on a du sang de cocker
anglais qui coule dans ses veines, que demander de plus que de
vivre deux jours au contact de ses amis et de participer avec eux à
l’exposition du Luxembourg ! Rien. Simplement profiter du temps
présent !
Pour Marie et moi-même, c’était l’occasion de
faire découvrir l’ambiance du ring à notre petite protégée, Amy. Et
oui, encore une fille de mon idole « Z’Billy » ...
Le changement d’horaire et la planification
d’un départ à l’aube ne nous ont laissé que peu de temps pour
dormir ! C’est ainsi que nous avons pris le cap du Luxembourg vers
06h20, en convoi et sous la pluie pour arriver vers 08h20 et
découvrir ce magnifique centre des expositions.
Après le repérage des rings et une installation
rapide, Sabine et Carol, animées de leur « zen attitude » qui les
caractérise si bien, ont entrepris un dernier brushing pour
l’ensemble de nos chiens. Amy, quant à elle, avait bénéficié la
veille des mains expertes de Carol dans l’art du toilettage. Force
était de constater que notre boule de poils avait vraiment des
allures de cocker !
Vers 10h00, Blondie, présentée par Dany dans
une classe Jeune où 5 sujets concouraient, ouvre le bal. Le verdict
du juge tombe : CHARBONNEL Suzette, « Blondie » pour les initiés,
obtient un 1° Exc., agrémenté quelques instants plus tard par le
titre de Champion jeune. Immense moment de satisfaction pour notre
petite équipe, car ce résultat confirme celui obtenu le 11/12/05 à
l’occasion de sa 1ère et seule sortie en Puppy, lors de l’expo
« Spécial Spaniels Show » de Borgloon (B). Bravo, à mon pote Dany
pour la maîtrise de son stress lors de cette superbe prestation, car
il me semble que lorsque l’on a une CHARBONNEL au bout de la
laisse, une erreur du handler ne saurait être tolérée !
Blondie, « so British » (normal, me direz-vous,
pour une femelle cocker anglais) ayant donné remarquablement le ton
... la qualité des résultats allait s’enchaîner ...
Seule "fausse note", Daytona du DOMAINE D’HAISHA,
inscrite en classe Intermédiaire, obtient un 1° Très Bon. Le juge ne
l’ayant pas laissé marcher suffisamment, elle n’a pas eu le temps de
pouvoir vraiment s’exprimer !
Par la suite, Energy du DOMAINE D’HAISHA,
présentée en classe Puppy par Carol, obtient un 1° Très Prometteur
et se classe meilleure Puppy femelle. Grosse impression aux allures
pour cette sublime demoiselle « en herbe » ... et une très grande
complicité avec son handleuse est unanimement remarquée ...
Ensuite vient le tour de Amy du DOMAINE D’UNLADY ;
inscrite en classe Baby, elle a fait un 1° Très Prometteur et
meilleur Baby femelle. Au-delà du résultat, qui d’ailleurs, ne veut
pas dire grand-chose tant la morphologie de notre petite protégée
peut « se défaire » en raison de sa croissance, cette prise de
contact avec les expositions, nous a permis de constater qu’Amy
semble apprécier se pavaner dans un ring.
J’ai ressenti un bonheur intense en présentant
la 1ère chienne qui porte notre affixe et mon émotion a été
difficile à dissimuler...
Après la plus jeune de ses filles, place au
papa ... au Maestro !!! Je vous parle bien évidemment de Z’Billy
Boy du DOMAINE D’HAISHA ! Inscrit en classe Champion et présenté par
sa maman, Sabine, le « seigneur des rings » a été égal à lui-même et
a obtenu un 1° Exc et le CACL. Billy étant déjà champion du
Luxembourg, son dauphin du jour, titulaire du RCACL, peut donc
bénéficier de ce CACL !
Bravo Billy pour cet excellent résultat !
J’espère simplement que Amy a bien observé ta prestation en
mouvement car « tes allures » sont impressionnantes ... que du
bonheur pour les yeux !
Et pour finir, la cerise sur le gâteau ! La
sublime Debbie du DOMAINE D’HAISHA présentée en classe Intermédiaire
par Carol nous a gratifié d’un 1° Exc avec le CACL en prime. Bravo
au binôme pour cette très belle présentation !
A noter également l’excellent résultat de Dee
Dee du DOMAINE D’HAISHA, appartenant à la famille JÖRKE. Inscrit en
classe Intermédiaire, il obtient un 1°Exc et le CACL. Toutes nos
félicitations pour Dee Dee et ses maîtres.
Hormis les excellents résultats obtenus par nos
cockers dans une ambiance conviviale, que retenir de cette
exposition ? Probablement un petit problème d’organisation dans
l’agencement des rings ce qui nous a obligé de courir d’un ring à
l’autre ... Il aurait été judicieux de placer côte à côte les deux
rings destinés aux cockers anglais (mâles et femelles) et
d’excentrer celui des cockers américains ... Espérons simplement que
les enseignements seront tirés pour la prochaine expo du
Luxembourg !
Je conclurai par une petite piqûre de rappel ;
Les visiteurs des expositions viennent principalement pour admirer
des chiens de race et discuter avec les maîtres et/ou éleveurs. Quoi
de plus respectueux à leur égard que de se comporter en ladys ou en
gentlemen lorsque l’on participe à une exposition, qui plus est,
avec un ou des cocker(s) anglais ! Il en va de l’image de la
cynophilie.
Au Luxembourg comme à Borgloon d’ailleurs, je
n’ai côtoyé que des ladys et des gentlemen ... et sincèrement, cela
donne envie, sans tenir compte des résultats de mes chiens, de
continuer un bout de chemin avec vous ...
Encore merci Sabine, Carol et Dany, pour la
chaleur de votre accueil lors de ce mémorable week-end de rêve passé
en votre compagnie !
Nous espérons qu’il y en aura d’autres ...

There are some weekends that we'll never forget
! And for us, the March 25th-26th weekend will stay in our
minds.
Indeed, when you have "Cocker" blood in your
veins, what will make you more happy than spend two days with doggy
friends, and to take part with them in the Luxembourg dog show ?
Nothing... Only take benefit from the present time !
For Marie and myself, it was the occasion for
our baby, Amy, to discover the show atmosphere ... Yes, she's
another daughter from my favourite "Z'Billy" ...
The hours changing (1 hour sleeping less than
usual) and a start up at dawn let us only a few hours to sleep.
So, we took the Luxembourg road at about 6.20, with a lot of rain,
and we arrived there at about 8.20, to discover a beautiful
exhibition center.
After looking after our rings, and a quick
installation of all the material and dogs, Sabine and Carol, with
their usual "zen attitude", gave a last brushing to all our doggies.
Our Amy already got a great grooming from Carol's specialist hands
the day before the show, and our hairy baby was looking exactly like
a show cocker !
At about 10 o'clock, Blondie, shown in Young
class by Dany, opens the day. 5 dogs are entered in that class.
And the judge decides : CHARBONNEL Suzette, also known as "Blondie",
wins the class, and is now "Luxembourg Junior Winner". All our
little team was so happy and proud, and that result confirms the one
Blondie got at her first and only show in Puppy class, in December
in Borgloon Special Spaniel Show. I would like to congratulate
my pal Danny for the control of his stress during that moment,
because I think that when you have a CHARBONNEL on the leash, you
cannot, as the handler, make any mistake !
After that, Daytona du DOMAINE D’HAISHA,
entered in Intermediate class, got a 1st Very Good. The judge
didn't make her walk enough, and she didn't have time to show
herself at her best !
It's now the turn of Energy du DOMAINE D’HAISHA,
shown in Puppy class by Carol. Energy gets a 1st Very
Promising, and will also be "Best Puppy Bitch". That young
girl walked perfectly, and everybody could see a great complicity
with her handler ...
Then, our Amy du DOMAINE D’UNLADY, in Baby
Class, gets a 1st Very Promising, and Best Baby Bitch. Beyond
that result that, moreover, doesn't mean a lot, because our young
girl can still change a lot with growth, that first contact with
show scene allowed us to see that Amy seems to appreciate to show
herself in a ring.
I felt a great joy by showing the first bitch
with our kennel name, and my emotion was difficult to hide. ;
After the youngest of her daughters, now the
turn of the father ... the Maestro !!! Of course, I'm speaking
about Z’Billy Boy du DOMAINE D’HAISHA ! Entered in Champion class
and show by her "mother", Sabine, the "Lord of the Showring" was
still the same good boy and won the class. Like he's already
Luxembourg Champion, the second of the class, who got the CACL
Reserve, can have the CACL.
Congratulations Billy for that great result !
I just hope that Amy took a look at you in the showring, and take
some lessons for the future, because your moving is so impressing
... Great pleasure for the eyes !
And, to finish, the cherry on the cake !
The great Debbie du DOMAINE D’HAISHA, shown in Intermediate Class by
Carol, gave us a 1st Excellent with CACL, in a class of 5.
Congratulations to that "couple" for the very nice handling. .
To note also, the excellent result of Dee Dee
du DOMAINE D’HAISHA, owned by the JÖRKE Family She also got
1st Excellent and CACL in Intermediate Class.
Apart the excellent resultats gained by our
Cockers in a friendly atmosphere, what do we have to retain about
that show ? Probably un little organisation problem in the
rings fitting, that made us run all the day from one ring to the
other... It would have been better to place the English Cocker
Males rings besides the English Cockers Bitches ring, and to place
the American Cocker ring a bit further... Just hope that the
organisation people will remember that for next Luxembourg show !
I will end with a little reminder; the visitors
of dogs shows are coming mainly to see breed dogs and chat a little
with their owners / breeders. So, the most respectful thing
towards them is to behave like ladies and gentlemen when we take
part in a show ... We represent the doggy world image.
In Luxembourg, as in Borgloon, I met only ladies and gentlemen ...
and sincerely, without thinking about my dogs results, I'm ready to
go on with you and to take part to more shows ...
Thank you again, Sabine, Carol and Dany, for
your warm welcome during that wonderful weekend ! We hope that
there will be more days like that ...
