Lorie on left, Jingle on right
Lorie's pups are born on Thursday 18th April, during the evening and the beginning of the night.
The whelping went well, very quickly and the 6 pups were in great shape, as well as their mum.
The end of the night was quiet, and the day after too ...
But when Jingle, her "nursery neighbour", started to whelp too, on the next evening, Lorie was in panic, very nervous, whereas we were there for her too.
In the next hours, she seemed to be quieter...
We looked after the two litters, during the next night, every two hours...
During one of our "tour", vision of horror : Lorie was in panic again, and took her puppies out of the whelping box, under the newspapers that she cutted in "confetti", and on the tiles...
Find the puppies, without walking on them, and warm them ... but two of them were missing ...
After some long minutes, finally thing to put the head up andv check Jingle, so quiet in her whelping box with her 5 black and ... the two "missing" puppies... They went probably under the grid and Jingle took them and carried them in her whelping box, with her own puppies...
Impossible to calm the poor Lorie ...
Finally, we took a hard decision, for Lorie's pups survival and everyone's welfare : let Lorie's pups to Jingle, and help her to feed them by adding nursing bottle...
Lorie, after that "shock", is in good shape, and Jingle is happy and proud to take care of all this big family.
So, we have 4 golden (red) and 5 black (2 of Lorie's pups unfortunately passed away in that misadventure).
It's the very first time in our breeder's life that we have to separate newborns from their mum to confide them to another mum... One experience more ...
